Yet Another Use for Vapor Rub: How Vapor Rub Helps Remove Ticks! by Mindy Hudon, M.S., CCC-SLP

I just found another reason to have Vapor Rub in my medicine cabinet. I learned that it may help remove ticks! This has been an awful season for ticks around here. My family hasn’t had a problem with them in the past, but this year I have already removed three of them. My remedy is Vapor Rub. 

I just dab Vapor Rub on top of the tick and leave it on for about a minute. Then I get tweezers and gently pull out the tick. Voila! No more tick! As I understand it, Vapor Rub smothers the tick and it backs out of the skin. Keep some Vapor Rub handy to help keep your family safe from those outdoor pests!
