You know strong bones are important for kids, but they're also important for you. Calcium-rich foods like dairy products, seeds and dark leafy veggies are key to strong bones and teeth. When you consume magnesium-rich foods like whole grains, soy and nuts, it helps your body retain calcium so it can do its job. So try a calcium-magnesium mix of foods such as:
- a green salad with tofu
- feta and walnuts paired with a slice of whole grain bread
- a cup of coffee (high in magnesium) with a banana and an orange
- white beans on top of leafy greens sprinkled with nuts
- baked sweet potato topped with roasted broccoli
This combinations pack a powerful bone-building punch!
