Do You Need Sunscreen in the Winter? For Your Skin's Sake, Read This!

Is it just as important to wear sunscreen in the winter as it is in the summer? You bet! In fact, it’s even more important during this time of year since the sun is closer to the earth. Snow, too, can reflect up to 85 percent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, which is why it’s super important to slather up. Before heading out:

  • Apply sunscreen to your face and hands.
  • If you’re planning a day of skiing in the mountains, experts recommend wearing an oil-based SPF 30 to protect your skin and keep it hydrated.
  • Don't forget your kids, too!
