Power Outage? Emergency? How to Prepare Your Family in Advance!

Weather-related emergencies and power outages can happen in any season. Some regions fall prey to snow and ice storms, while others experience tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. Regardless of the emergency, it's important to have a family plan ready in advance.

  • Designate a meeting place in and out of the home.
  • Remember to keep smartphones charged.
  • Store flashlights and flameless candles, fresh batteries, blankets, bottled water and canned goods in an easy-to-access place.
  • In addition, a generator can provide the energy needed to keep your family comfortable until power is restored.

Stay safe!
