Chicken Pox & Measles: How Baking Soda Alleviates Skin Irritations From These Diseases

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that more than 20 million people contract the measles or chicken pox worldwide annually. Between these two diseases, countless people suffer from skin irritations such as redness, itchiness, inflammation, and rashes and sores that can create open wounds. The risk of infection from bacteria and toxins in the environment sky rocket when these conditions develop, increasing the incidence of serious illness or even death.

Additionally, with their compromised immune systems, these afflicted patients not only suffer from these skin diseases themselves, but also pose a serious threat to surrounding family members and acquaintances who have not been immunized. While the debate against immunizations and vaccinations is prevalent in developed countries where adequate care is available, many people around the world have little or no access to the healthcare that would assist in the prevention or recovery of these diseases. In situations where citizens are contracting and developing the symptoms associated with these two conditions, baking soda can help shorten the duration of the disease and alleviate the intensity of the symptoms.

The application of a baking soda solution created by combining a one-to-one ratio of baking soda and aloe, results in a reduction in redness, irritation, inflammation and severity of itchiness. By consuming a daily dose of 1 teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in 1 cup of water, patients also experience an improvement in immune system functioning to reduce the effects of the skin conditions on the cells, organs and systems. Baking soda is one of the most effective treatments for these skin irritations and it acts safely and naturally without the risk of any side effects.
