Vitamin D: Here's a Simple Way to Get Your Daily Vitamin D Fix!

Every day at work, I get a 30-minute break. I use my break to go for a walk outside to get my vitamin D fix. Did you know that going for at least a 30-minute walk can fend off heart disease, diabetes and anxiety? Sunlight is the best source of vitamin D. I've learned that the body needs at least 15 minutes of it a day, so go for a walk, run, hike or whatever you have time for!

In the words of David Thoreau, “I cannot persevere my spirit unless I spend four hours a day searching through the woods, over hills and field absolutely free from my world engagements.” I wish I could get four hours, but I settle for my 30-minute walk at my lunch break. So, if you want to reduce your stress, get outside and get some vitamin D!

I'm with you, Mike Prochaska - taking a walk every day is how I reduce stress and increase vitamin D. But, my doctor also gave me a supplement because my levels were still low. :-(
