Alzheimer's Disease: 3 Ways to Reduce Your Alzheimer’s Risk That Involve Food & Fun!

Anyone who’s seen a loved one struggle with Alzheimer’s knows how terrible it is. Here are three simple ways to help lower your risk for Alzheimer's disease.

  • Take care your heart. Plenty of exercise and abstaining from smoking are recommended for cardiovascular health and healthy blood pressure.
  • Exercise your brain. Be socially active, mindful of your mental health and use your brain often. Intellectual stimulation is associated with reduced risk.
  • Watch what you eat. Stick to a balanced diet – plenty of fruits and veggies and lean proteins, especially ones rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Think of a Mediterranean diet.

There’s no better time than now to start taking care of yourself for the future. To learn about Alzheimer’s risk and prevention, schedule a visit with your health practitioner at NPFinder.com.
