The 30 Workout: A Quick Exercise Plan Designed for Busy Moms (By a Busy Mom)!

Things don't always go as planned. Often you plan to do a workout but something else comes up. The problem with working out is that there is a mental part of it that brings disappointment when you can't follow through. Having a quick-fire workout ready is a surefire way to keep on track. Keep it in your back pocket and pull it out when things change – as they always do. Here's one of mine – the 30 Workout (following the 30Seconds theme, of course!). And it's fun to do with kids.

  • 30 pushups
  • 30 leg raises
  • AMAP diamond pushups in 30 seconds (place your hands in a diamond shape, lower to the ground and push back up)
  • 30-second plank
  • 30-second sprint (if possible)

If you can't do 30 of any exercise, do 30 seconds of it. All exercises should be done one after the other for three rounds.

AMAP = as many as possible

Thanks @elisa. So many times I've planned a workout and something has come up. A simple workout like this you can do anywhere and anytime. Pocket workouts are great. Papa made me a pocket full of them.

Great advice! It's perfect for the 30 Second tribe. And very similar to my 2 Minute Yoga concept - which may be around the amount of time for doing your full work out. :) Welcome to the 30 Seconds tribe.

Thanks @NicoleDeAvilla. Feeling really welcome. Will have to look your 2 minute yoga up now.
