Overwhelmed With Your To-Do List? You May Need a Brain Dump!

Chris Bailey in "The Productivity Project," explains that our brains are "meant for having ideas, not for holding them." The mental energy exerted simply to juggle our to-do list in our heads is overwhelming.

Chris suggests setting aside time to write out every single item you can possibly think of that needs your attention, down to inane tasks like clipping your kids' nails. Getting the list onto paper (or a device) is incredibly liberating because your mental energy is freed up from "holding" the information.
