No Time for Self-care? How to Find Moments for Yourself (No Matter How Small)

Moms, make sure to take care of yourselves so that you can take care of everyone else! Fit in small moments of self-care:

  • a quick coffee stop after school drop off
  • a power nap
  • a walk around the block
  • a phone call to a friend

Self-care doesn't have to take a lot of time or effort, but we do have to prioritize it in order to find those quick opportunities throughout the day.

Self-care is not selfish! It actually recharges your batteries and allows you to be more present and available to all of the other people in your life. Set an intention to make some time for you every single day!

Good point...it's so important for us moms to take good care of ourselves so we can continue to give good care to our loved ones. I love to take 20 min. in the hammock on a beautiful afternoon or sip some green matcha tea to just kinda re-group and re-energize before starting dinner for my family.

Agreed, Victoria Jimenez! Ok, about this matcha tea. I've had some in my pantry for a few months. Hasn't been opened. What's the best way to drink it?

Hi Donna,

I love it with raw honey and ceylon cinnamon added as well as 2-3 pieces of natural ginger root....yum, it's so delicious. I try to make time for 2 cups per day for all of the super antioxidant benefits :) P.S. It's also great added to smoothies.

So true! A little "me" time recharges me for the day. I actually get up about 15 minutes before everyone so that I can sit in silence by our front window with coffee or tea to.... "just be" for a moment.
