Teens & Melanoma: Why You Need to Talk to Your Child Now!

The number of young adults with melanoma is on the rise at an alarming rate. It’s extremely important to talk to your teen about the dangers of tanning beds and sun exposure. This can be difficult since many teens think they are invincible and it’s a time when parent’s views and advice don’t have the same impact.

  • When talking to your teen lead by example.
  • Be sure you are practicing sun safety and give personal antidotes.
  • Repetition is important so keep talking about it.

Teach your teen to respect his or her skin! It's the only skin they'll ever have.
