Can Oral Care by Doctors Improve Children’s Teeth? Find Out!

A study in the journal Pediatrics found that comprehensive preventative oral health services, including application of fluoride varnish, delivered in the medical primary care setting helped reduce decayed, missing and filled primary teeth in kids younger than 3. 

In the study, kindergarteners who had four or more medical visits that included preventative oral care had fewer cavities than those who did not. Read more about this study here!
