Think Your Cold Could Be Bronchitis? If You Have These Symptoms, Call the Doctor!

Think you have bronchitis? It’s often caused by the common cold so symptoms start out similar and may include:

  • fever
  • chills
  • chest congestion
  • cough

The cough can last longer than five days and sometimes lasts two to three weeks. If your symptoms last beyond seven to 10 days or if you have chest pain, shortness of breath and wheezing along with these symptoms, it’s important to see your doctor. Bronchitis can lead to pneumonia.
