Thanksgiving wouldn't be Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie. Here's an easy pumpkin pie recipe to try this year at your holiday gathering. It's a basic pumpkin pie. The way grandma would have made one.

Serve this classic pumpkin pie with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Grandma would approve of that.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 55 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour
Servings: Makes 1 pie

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine all ingredients. Mix well.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie crust.
  3. Bake at 425 degrees F for about 15 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 325 degrees F and continue to cook until set, about 40 minutes.

Here is my take on your delicious pumpkin pie recipe, Donna John ! Made it again this year - times two! - for Thanksgiving. Everyone wanted seconds. Thank you for sharing the yum! Margaret McSweeney , my amazing La Cornue oven baked all my pies to perfection in the right side oven while the turkey baked blissfully on its own in the left side oven. Love it! 🦃
