Simple Baked Salmon Nori Sticks Recipe: Roll Up to Healthy Eating

Many kids and adults don't like fish. To help them develop a taste for it and get all the health benefits of salmon and health benefits of seaweed, prepare salmon in a variety of ways and serve it frequently.

Here's a simple recipe for gluten-free salmon nori sticks that's easy to put together and produces delicious results every time! All you need to make this simple salmon recipe is salmon fillets, nori sheets and cooking oil. The fish is wrapped in nori then baked until flaky and cooked through.

Serve these low-sodium salmon nori sticks for lunch or as a fun appetizer. Put out some dipping sauces like soy sauce, creamy Asian sauce, sesame dipping sauce, Chinese duck sauce and orange teriyaki sauce to dunk them in. Delicious.

Recipe Notes

  • The serving size can easily be changed by buying and wrapping more salmon fillets.
  • Use whatever cooking oil you like. I like a neutral oil like vegetable oil, but you could use olive oil.
  • If desired, sprinkle some seasoning on the salmon before rolling it in the seaweed.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Skin a salmon fillet and cut into 1-inch strips.
  2. Season the fish, brush it with oil and wrap it in a nori (seaweed) sheet.
  3. Place the salmon/nori sticks on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

The nori helps to keep the fish very moist, adds a layer of flavor and boosts nutrition. Enjoy!
