Brussels Sprouts: The Health Benefits of These Little Cabbage Heads!

Remember when you used to feed the dog the brussels sprouts your mom made you for dinner? As a mom now yourself, it's time to realize that you mother was right – they're really good for you! Brussels sprouts are:

  • super-low in calories
  • loaded with cancer-preventing phyto-nutrients
  • high in fiber

These veggies, sometimes called little cabbage heads, get a bad flavor rap, but they taste great with a sweet or tangy sauce or a simple sprinkle of sea salt. Just saute them in olive oil, add a dash of sea salt and enjoy the health benefits!
