One-Pan Mediterranean Pork Chops Recipe With Feta & Parmesan by Donna John

One-Pan Mediterranean Pork Chops Recipe With Feta & Parmesan

Mediterranean flavors are welcome at any meal in my house. With lemon, garlic, oregano, basil and other fresh flavors, how can you go wrong? This easy Mediterranean skillet pork chops recipe has all those flavors plus creamy feta cheese and Parmesan. This is a quick, flavorful dinner any day of the week.

The pork recipe has a short list of ingredients: boneless pork chops, feta cheese, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, a lemon, Tuscan seasoning or dried oregano, and fresh garlic cloves. The pork chops are marinated for a couple hours or overnight. Marinate the pork as long as you can for maximum taste and flavor. The pork chops are quickly cooked in a skillet until seared and cooked through, then topped with feta and Parmesan. Let the two cheeses melt and the chops are ready to be plated.

You could use bone-in pork chops for this recipe, but be sure to cook a little longer. If you don't like feta cheese, just use Parmesan. Serve these lemony, garlicy pork chops with a fresh vegetable and a salad, or your favorite side dishes.

Cuisine: Mediterranean
Prep Time: 10 minutes plus time to marinate
Cook Time: 10 to 15 minutes (depends on thickness of pork chops)
Total Time: 25 minutes plus time to marinate
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 pound)
  • crumbled feta cheese, to taste
  • shredded Parmesan cheese, to taste

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon Tuscan seasoning or dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put all the marinade ingredients into a plastic ziploc bag. Season with black pepper and salt. Add the pork chops and turn to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
  2. Remove the chops from the refrigerator about 15 minutes before cooking. Put the pork chops and the marinade into a hot skillet. Cook until seared on both sides and just cooked through.
  3. Top with crumbled feta cheese and shredded Parmesan. Cover and let the cheese melt.
  4. Sprinkle with additional Tuscan seasoning, dried oregano or parsley flakes for color, if desired.
