Perfectly Seasoned Grilled Beef Burgers Recipe Doesn't Need a Bun

If you're watching your carbs but still crave a juicy, perfectly seasoned ground beef burger, you've clicked on the right recipe. These grilled beef burgers are seasoned with spices before being quickly cooked in a grill pan or on an indoor or outdoor grill. And you don't need a bun!

Start with lean ground beef. An 85 percent lean mix is a good choice so you get just a little fat to help keep the burgers juicy. The ground beef is seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika and chili powder. Lots of great flavors in these beef burgers! Shape the meat into four patties and grill to your desired doneness.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends cooking ground meats to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F for safety. You can easily check the temperature of the burger patties with a food thermometer.

If you want to add cheese to your burger patties, top each with a slice of your favorite cheese during the last two minutes of cooking. To help the cheese melt, you can cover with a lid. Serve these seasoned beef burgers with your favorite side dishes. For those not watching their carbs, try mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, quinoa, brown rice or pasta salad. For a low-carb dinner, serve with a fresh vegetable, salad or cauliflower casserole or cauliflower macaroni and cheese ... please.
