This almond butter cup smoothie recipe is a protein-packed smoothie filled with essential vitamins and minerals that tastes great. The creamy almond butter smoothie will fuel you like a champ. The healthy smoothie is made with hemp seeds, walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds, protein powder, banana, almond butter and almond milk. You can add some dark chocolate to make it even more decadent and delicious. Enjoy this easy smoothie for breakfast or as a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 handful of walnuts
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon flax seeds, ground
  • 1 scoop chocolate plant-based protein powder (We like TB12 Chocolate Plant Based Protein)
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 cup ice
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 - 2 pieces dark chocolate (optional)

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. 
  2. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
