Simple Baked Salmon Recipe: The Secret to Baking Salmon Fillets to Perfection by 30Seconds Food

There are all sorts of salmon recipes available to home cooks. From mirin and soy-glazed salmon to sweet red pepper-glazed salmon to creamy Tuscan salmon to Parmesan pesto salmon, there's a salmon recipe for everyone. But what if you want a simple baked salmon? If you want simply salmon baked to juicy, flaky perfection, we're going to tell you how. It's easy!
All you need to bake the perfect salmon is olive oil, salmon fillets, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. The olive oil is spread over parchment paper in a casserole dish. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the olive oil-coated parchment and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper. Bake in a hot oven for about 12 to 15 minutes. That's it! You can enjoy the salmon as is with fresh lemon wedges or use in recipes calling for cooked, flaked salmon.
If you want to fancy up the salmon, you could add your favorite seasoning, herbs or minced fresh garlic before baking. This method can be used of any type of fish, just remember that the cooking time will vary with the thickness of the fish.
