Tartar sauce is always a fan favorite recipe. When learning all about Faidley's world famous crab cakes, the same tartar sauce recipe kept showing up to be served with them. I love tartar sauce. Homemade tartar sauce is so simple to make and can be prepared with so many flavorful ingredients – from horseradish to capers to olives to lemon. This easy tartar sauce recipe is quick and simple and now part of my tartar sauce recipe arsenal.
The easy tartar sauce recipe is made with basic ingredients: mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, minced onion, chopped fresh parsley and pickle juice. Whisk all the ingredients together, season with salt and black pepper, and this creamy condiment is ready for that seafood.
Think beyond crab cakes! You could dip chicken nuggets, hushpuppies, clam cakes and even fresh cut-up vegetables in this creamy dip.
