Slow-cooker Chocolate Fondue Recipe Makes Any Day Special

My book club friends and I once had an end-of-the-year dinner at a fondue place. It was the first time I’d ever been to one and I still think about it. Whether cheese or chocolate, fondue can take a regular day and make it special. Great news: you can make delicious chocolate fondue at home, and your slow cooker makes it so easy!

With your slow cooker you can recreate the restaurant experience without having to deal with those tricky little pots They don’t hold enough chocolate anyway! A slow cooker is great whether you’re making fondue for your own little family or for a party. It works great for gatherings because it keeps the fondue warm so you can focus on enjoying yourself.

Inside scoop: Not all brands of chocolate are created equal. Some simply don’t melt well. The brand really does make a difference in this case; my favorite brand is Ghirardelli.

If you prefer a thicker fondue, use slightly less cream in this slow-cooker chocolate fondue recipe. If the fondue turns out a bit too thin, no problem. Simply whisk in additional cream or milk until the desired consistency is reached. Easy! And there are so many dipping options (see our list below). What is your favorite snack to dip in chocolate? Let us know in the comments!

Genius idea to make chocolate fondue in the slow cooker. That way you'll have plenty leftover (hopefully)! I love strawberries and pound cake and vanilla wafers and - just about anything, LOL!
