TikTok's Million Dollar Spaghetti Recipe: This Cheesy Pasta Casserole Went Viral by Donna John

Went Viral Pasta Beef Dinner

Another TikTok recipe went viral. This time it is a million dollar spaghetti recipe that looks incredible. After a recipe gets its foot in the famous recipes door, the variations on the recipe start to appear, which I love. Making a recipe your own is part of the fun of cooking.

Cornelius Lathan took the million dollar spaghetti casserole recipe and put a few of his touches on it. "This recipe for my TikTok Viral Million Dollar Spaghetti is for sure an incredible easy great recipe and it’s for sure a crowd pleaser," he writes on his YouTube channel. "Its a simple to do recipe and it’s great to share with your friends and family for years to come." Agreed, Cornelius.

Below is the original recipe for you to follow, or you can take Cornelius' recommendations and make some tweaks. He added seasoned salt to the alfredo sauce, used linguine instead of spaghetti noodles, topped the meat mixture with pieces of cream cheese for extra cheesy goodness (yum!) and used Monterey Jack, extra sharp cheddar and mozzarella for the topping.

I don't think you can go wrong with whatever choices you decide for this pasta and ground beef casserole recipe. It's sure to be a family pleasing dinner! Serve it with a fresh salad or vegetables, and don't forget the garlic bread.

Cuisine: Italian / American
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 8+

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles, cooked to al dente according to package directions

Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce

Alfredo

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Topping

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes

Here's how to make it:

  1. Cook the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning in a skillet until meat is cooked through and vegetables soft, about 8 minutes. Drain fat.
  2. Add the marinara sauce and simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the sauce simmers, make the alfredo sauce. In a soup pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Whisk in the heavy cream, Parmesan, salt and pepper. Cook until cheese melts and thickens slightly.
  4. Add the spaghetti noodles to the alfredo sauce. Toss to coat. Pour the noodles into a 13x9-inch baking pan that's been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Top the noodles with the meat sauce. Sprinkle with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese has melted. Sprinkle with parsley flakes before serving.
