5-Minute Creamy Chicken Ramen Soup Recipe With Dill Is Quick & Fabulous

The Flipboard weekly food inspiration newsletter appeared in my inbox right as my stomach growled for lunch. The creamy chicken ramen soup recipe immediately caught my eye. Ramen is one of my all-time favorite things. Dill is another herb I absolutely love and cook with all the time. And the word creamy. Come on now, that works on me every time.

The simple creamy chicken ramen recipe with dill starts with one of those inexpensive packages of ramen. The recipe called for chicken ramen, but I only had the creamy chicken ramen variety. (Again, creamy is always a good thing.) The ramen noodles are cooked in water for a few minutes, then the seasoning packet, sour cream, chicken and dill weed is stirred in. After reading the comments on the original recipe, I reduced the amount of dill (many said it was overpowering). Genius idea, because my bowl of ramen was seasoned perfectly. I also omitted the chicken for a vegetarian lunch. The recipe calls for canned chicken, but if you want chicken in your soup you could use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken.

This quick and easy ramen recipe was cooked and in my bowl in less than five minutes. I topped it with lots of chopped green onion and a little more dried dill. This easy soup recipe pleasantly surprised me, and will be in my lunch, and possibly dinner, rotation now. The recipe below is my version after making tweaks based on the comments I read. To me, it was perfect.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1 package (3 ounces) chicken flavored ramen noodles (I used creamy chicken ramen noodles)
