Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green onion, minced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon white wine, chicken broth or water
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- dash of hot sauce
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the garlic and onion. Cook until tender, about 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour into the pan. Stir.
- Slowly pour in the milk, whisking. Bring to a boil and cook, whisking, until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Add the blue cheese, wine, pepper and hot sauce. Heat through.
