Chilean-Style Hot Dogs Recipe (Completos Chilenos): A Fun Recipe for National Hispanic Heritage Month by Donna John
My husband loves chili cheese hot dogs. Yes, they're good, but I am always looking for new ways to make things. Enter the completo, or Chilean-style hot dog. Served by street venders in Chile, this is what I would call a loaded hot dog!
A Chilean hot dog starts with a bun (sometimes they're much larger than our American buns) and a wiener. Simple enough. But then the magic happens. The hot dog is topped with chopped tomatoes, onions or sauerkraut, mashed avocado and then finished with the condiment of your choice, usually mayonnaise (most popular), mustard or ketchup. Why not try this completo recipe for National Hispanic Heritage Month?
