After researching, I found that this chicken recipe is basically the same across social media. This popular chicken casserole recipe is quick to prepare and destined to become a family favorite.
I like that this creamy chicken casserole recipe makes a manageable amount for two people. For larger families, you could double the recipe and bake it in a 13x9-inch baking pan. Either way, it's a delicious dinner that will make you pray for leftovers.
Not a fan of cottage cheese? Try substituting ricotta cheese, mascarpone, Greek yogurt or sour cream. So easy and delicious!

Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 32 Ritz crackers (1 sleeve), crushed
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Mix together the cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder and onion powder. Add the chicken and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased square baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter and cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 40 minutes.
