3-Ingredient Saskatoon Jam Recipe: This Canadian Recipe Has an Identity Crisis by 30Seconds Food

Saskatoon berries are a Canadian thing. The berries change their name at the border. In Michigan and Minnesota these small berries are known as juneberries – and some call them serviceberries. Whatever you call them, this jam recipe is the perfect way to get to know them.
This Canadian recipe has just three ingredients and takes about 30 minutes to prepare. If you want a hint of vanilla in your saskatoon jam, add the vanilla right at the end of cooking. Spread this jam on toast, biscuits, English muffins, pancakes, waffles, crepes or spoon over vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups saskatoon berries (serviceberries, juneberries)
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

Here's how to make it:
- Put 1 cup of the berries into a saucepan and mash with a potato masher or back of a wooden spoon.
