When I was searching for new cold dip recipes to make this weekend, I ran across this "boat dip" recipe. This famous dip recipe went viral on TikTok. My first question was, "Why is it called boat dip?" Is it a fish dip? Crab dip? Nope. It's basically a Mexican taco dip that people seem to like eating on a boat. Hmmm. I decided you can eat this dip anywhere you want.
With sour cream, taco seasoning, shredded cheese and tomatoes and green chiles, this creamy cold dip recipe is loaded with Mexican flavors. I served it with large "scoopable" corn chips, but it would be just as good with tortilla chips or even cut-up vegetables.
