We love old-fashioned banana bread; the kind that Grandma used to make. This easy banana bread recipe is made with brown sugar – in the batter and on top. It's quick, moist and absolutely delicious for breakfast, afternoon snacking or evening dessert. It brings back those memories of Grandma in her kitchen!

Here's what you need to make this delicious banana bread recipe: flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mashed bananas, vegetable oil, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Here's how to make it: 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. 
  2. In another large mixing bowl, stir together the bananas, oil, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle the top with the 1/3 cup additional brown sugar, if desired. 
  4. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
