Recipe Notes

  • You can use boneless chicken breast or thighs for this homemade nuggets recipe. Chicken thighs do tend to stay moister than breasts, so keep that in mind.
  • Love garlic? Don't stop at the two cloves, measure it with your heart.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine the melted butter and garlic in a small bowl. In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic salt and Italian seasoning.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dip them into the melted butter and then dredge in the breadcrumbs. Put the chicken onto a baking sheet. Drizzle with any of the remaining garlic butter.
  3. Bake in a preheated 450-degree F oven for about 15 minutes or until chicken is crispy and cooked through (165 degrees F internal temperature).

This was delicious! I tried it the way it was written and also keto (using crushed pork rinds instead of bread crumbs) both were good.
My partner practically inhaled them. He said he wants it every night 🙂

So glad you and your partner enjoyed this amazing recipe, Tobius ! Great idea to use crushed pork rinds. I'll bet that added a great flavor and texture. Thank you for sharing, and for being part of our community!

I have a question about the first step of this process I'm new to certain ways of cooking but on the part where I mix the melted butter and garlic inna a bowl how would you recommend me doin that? Do I just melt the butter nad put the garlic in or do I melt the butter with the garlic in it? And how would I go about melting it stove top or microwave it?
Donna John
I put mine in a small bowl, cover with a paper towel and microwave until melted. That's the easiest way to do it.

I tried these, had to adjust the recipe a little as I didn't have the same amount of chicken; however I found I had nowhere hear enough butter/garlic coating to coat the nuggets in before applying the bread crumb mixture.

Unfortunately they also didn't come out anywhere close to the pics haha
