Recipe Notes
- If you like things spicier, add some crushed red pepper flakes into the marinade and the sauce.
- If you want a thicker sauce, whisk in a little cornstarch into the sauce.
Here's how to make it:
- Combine all the marinade ingredients in a plastic food storage zipper bag. Season with black pepper. Add the beef and squeeze to mix and coat the meat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and up to 8 hours.
- Boil the ramen noodles for two minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat in batches and brown on both sides. Remove to a plate.
- Add the broccoli florets and onion. Cook, stirring, about 2 to 3 minutes or until they begin to soften a bit. Remove to a plate.
- Add all the sauce ingredients to the skillet. Bring to a boil and cook until it reduces by about 1/3.
- Put the onions and broccoli back into the sauce. Cook about 2 to 3 minutes or until broccoli softens a bit.
- Add the beef and ramen noodles. Toss to coat. Garnish with chopped green onions and sliced hot peppers, if desired.
