Here's how to make it: 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the wheat bran, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 
  2. In another mixing bowl, combine the egg, oil, maple syrup, molasses, milk and vanilla. 
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Put the batter into muffin tins lined with baking liners. Bake in a preheated 400-degree F oven for about 20 minutes or until golden.
