Moist Chai Pound Cake Recipe: This Spiced Chai Loaf Cake Recipe Tastes & Smells Heavenly

All the chai flavors you love make this easy loaf cake recipe an absolute dream. The aroma coming from your oven is almost enough, but just wait until you taste it. This easy chai pound cake recipe is the perfect bite with that cup of coffee or chai tea, of course.

Cuisine: American/Middle Eastern
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 60 to 65 minutes
Total Time: 70 to 75 minutes
Servings: Makes 1 loaf

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, allspice and cloves in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar and butter with an electric mixer. Add the eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix well.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Pour into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated 325-degree F oven for about 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Oh, my - chai! I love it. Putting it in cake is a genius recipe idea. #yum
I drink chai tea and just love the cozy flavor, I can imagine this is wonderful...
I'm going to pour that cinnamon chocolate sauce on top and serve it for dessert this weekend!

Just wondering how your cake turned out, as mine not as good as expected.

This recipe didn't work for me. Despite baking it forc10 minutes longer than recipe indicated, it was still too moist in middle. Tested it with a bamboo skewer and a toothpick which came out clean. Also it was heavy but the flavour was good. Don't think I will make it again.

So sorry to hear that. Ovens vary, so it may have needed more time in the oven. Will run this one back through our test kitchens.

I believe my oven is fine. I bake often and have an oven thermometer to check temperature
