Cafeteria-style Crunchy Fried Fish Copycat Recipe: You Don't Have to Stand in Line

Who doesn't love Luby's fried fish? Come on, admit it. There's just something about going through a cafeteria line and getting that crispy fried fish with tartar sauce. Now you can make it at home with this easy Luby's copycat fried fish recipe.

According to the Luby's website, "Bob Luby opened his first restaurant in 1947 in San Antonio. His goal was to serve good, fresh food in a setting people would want to come back to time and time again. A place that felt like home. The idea caught on." We think it did, too, Bob.

This easy fried fish recipe is ready in 20 minutes! Cod fillets are seasoned and dipped into flour, then buttermilk, then crushed crackers. The fish is quickly fried in vegetable oil until golden brown. Drain, sprinkle with a little sea salt and serve. Quick and easy!

Have some fun and put all the side dishes in small white side dish bowls and create your own LuAnn platter. Serve it with this Luby's copycat tartar sauce recipe and your favorite fried fish side dishes.
