Here are the seven simple ingredients you need for these low-sodium snack treats: butter, flour, sugar, eggs, almond extract, cranberries and sliced almonds. If you're a fan of coconut, sprinkle some on the top as an optional garnish.

Here's how to make it:

  1. With an electric mixer, combine the butter, sugar and flour. Add the eggs and almond extract.
  2. Fold in the cranberries.
  3. Spread the batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with the sliced almonds and coconut, if using.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 1 hour. Cool and then cut into squares.
