Amish Egg Noodles Recipe: 4-Ingredient Simple Amish Noodles Recipe Has an Interesting Cooking Method

Buttered egg noodles are a common dish in many homes, but the Amish take it up a notch with chicken broth. Serve this simple Amish recipe as a main dish or as a side dish with chickenbeef or pork

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 0 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Servings: 4

Here's how to make it:

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot
  2. Add the broth and bouillon cube. Bring to a boil.
  3. Pour in the noodles. Bring back to a boil.
  4. Turn off the heat, cover and let the noodles soak for about 30 minutes, stirring a few times. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

I've never made noodles this way before, but if the Amish say it's a great way to do it, I'm definitely trying it. Sounds simple and delish!
I made these, so easy and good...

Very true, Rhonda Keyes . I think many cultures/geographic areas have food crossover (especially when it comes to comfort food). So fun. Thank you for the feedback! Donna John
