Budget 5-Ingredient Amish Baked Spaghetti Casserole Recipe

Leave it to the Amish to turn spaghetti into an amazing baked casserole recipe. This five-ingredient Amish spaghetti casserole will be a family pleaser for dinner, any night of the week. The minimal ingredients are budget friendly, and the minimal prep and cooking time will get you out of the kitchen fast. 

The easy baked spaghetti casserole recipe has just five ingredients: spaghetti noodles, ground beef, onion, spaghetti sauce, grated mozzarella and grated Parmesan. The ground beef is cooked with the onion until browned (don't forget to season with salt and pepper!). Your favorite spaghetti sauce is stirred in along with the cooked noodles. The mixture is poured into a casserole dish and topped with the cheese. Bake the pasta casserole in the oven for about 30 minutes. Done. 

Serve this easy Amish ground beef casserole recipe with a salad and a fresh vegetable. You could throw in some crusty bread or garlic bread, too.

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet until cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Stir in the spaghetti sauce. 
  3. Add the cooked pasta. Toss to combine. 
  4. Pour the mixture into a large casserole dish. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.
