  • Try this easy recipe with ground chicken, ground pork or ground turkey.

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the shallots, garlic, ginger, bell pepper and Thai chiles, if using. Cook, stirring, for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up into small pieces, until cooked through and browned. 
  3. In a bowl, combine the sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic chili sauce, broth, water and cornstarch. Whisk to combine. 
  4. Pour the mixture into the pan with the ground beef. Cook, stirring, about 2 to 4 minutes or until thickened. Season with black pepper. 
  5. Stir in the basil leaves and cook about 1 more minute.
