Creamy Spinach Dip Recipe: This 5-Ingredient Spinach Dip Recipe Is a Classic by Donna John

This classic spinach dip recipe is a must-have at all our family functions – from baby showers to holidays to birthday parties. This creamy spinach dip recipe is so easy to prepare and is always a crowd-pleaser. It will be on the table this Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.
The spinach dip is super simple to prep and prepare. For this cold dip you'll need a box of frozen chopped spinach that's been thawed and squeezed dry, sour cream, mayonnaise, dry vegetable soup mix and chopped green onions. The only prep is squeezing the moisture out of the spinach and chopping the green onions. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and it's done. The dip is better when it sits about one hour before serving so the dried vegetables in the soup mix can soften and the flavors can blend.
Some like to add chopped water chestnuts to this spinach dip. I save those for my stir fries, so I skip them. Serve this creamy spinach dip with crackers (we like Wheat Thins), tortilla chips or fresh vegetables.
