Blueberry Banana Energy Bites Recipe: These Blueberry Banana Bars Pack Protein for Extra Energy by Elisa Schmitz

Not only are they packed with protein, whole grain oats, nuts and bananas – one of the very best foods for energy – they're also incredibly easy to make (and go great with a cup of coffee or glass of orange juice).

Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats (I used gluten-free oats)
- 3 to 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup milk or nut milk
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 to 3 tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter
- dash of salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
Here's how to make it:
Put all ingredients except blueberries into a bowl. Mix until well combined.
Fold in blueberries.
Pour the batter into a 13x9-inch baking pan or glass baking dish.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.
