Hi Michael Combs ! It depends on the brand of soy sauce you use. For example, a Kikkoman soy sauce does not have additives: "Kikkoman's naturally brewed soy sauce contains just four ingredients – soybeans, wheat, salt and water – and has no artificial additives." Hope this helps!

This isn't Terriyaki sauce! Terriyaki sauce is Soy sauce, Saki, and Mirrin, and a couple of table spoons of white sugar. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
