Hall of Fame Lemon Vinaigrette Recipe Brightens Up Whatever It Touches

Light and bright, this easy lemon vinaigrette recipe can be drizzled on lettuce, kale, arugula, spinach, pasta salad or even grilled chicken or seafood. You could add fresh or dried herbs like thyme, tarragon, oregano, basil or even rosemary

This delicious salad dressing is one sauce recipe you'll want to keep ready in your fridge at all times. It's one of our most requested recipes

Servings: Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Here's how to make it:

  1. Whisk together all ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. (If you want to add dried or fresh herbs, add them now.)
  2. Pour into a salad dressing cruet. Refrigerate until ready to use.

This sounds yummy. If you did add additional herbs or spices, what would you suggest?

Thyme and lemon are a classic combination. But tarragon, basil, oregano or rosemary would work too. Maybe a combination? Why not? I'm making a batch of this right now! :-) Robin Doyle Oh, what about Greek seasoning or Mediterranean seasoning? Yum.
