10-Minute Hot Dog Chili Sauce Recipe: The Ultimate Hot Dog Topping

Ready to meet your new favorite hot dog topping? Hot dog chili has a finer texture than a regular bowl of chili. This easy hot dog chili recipe will be ready to ladle on those dogs in about 10 minutes. We think you need to make this for the big game!

The hot dog chili sauce is made with ground beef, onion, tomato sauce, mustard, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. All the simple ingredients are simmered on the stovetop for about 10 minutes.

Serve this quick ground beef hot dog chili beside a slow cooker full of wieners and a basket of hot dog buns. Set out all your favorite hot dog toppings (yellow mustard, pickle relish, chopped onions, shredded cheese, sliced jalapenos, etc.) and let your guests build their own hot dogs. How fun!

Yum! Nothing like a good chili dog. I use my potato masher all the time to break up my ground beef. Great tip!
Elisa Schmitz
I wouldn't have thought to make the chili less chunky but it makes perfect sense for this purpose, thank you! #yum

Can you substitute the Worcestershire sauce for soy sauce?
Donna John
Well, you could, but soy sauce is a lot saltier than Worcestershire sauce, so you may want to use less.
