- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 1/2 cups half and half or milk
- 3/4 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Here's how to make it:
- In a saucepot, combine the cornstarch and cocoa powder. Whisk in the half and half. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until it thickens, about 8 minutes.
- Turn the heat off. Add the chocolate hazelnut spread, butter and vanilla. Stir well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts, if desired.
