Ants Climbing a Tree (Ma Yi Shang Shu) is a classic Sichuan recipe of cellophane noodles and ground pork. This easy ground pork and noodles stir-fry recipe is simple to make and a delicious family dinner.

This is a fun Asian recipe on busy weeknights because it only takes about 20 minutes. To make this stir fry you will need cellophane noodles, vegetable oil, ground pork, sambal oelek, green onions, garlic, fresh ginger, soy sauce, granulated sugar and chicken broth.

If you've never cooked with sambal oelek, it is a red chili sauce or paste from Indonesia. It's made with a variety of peppers, garlic, ginger, onions, lime and sometimes shrimp paste.

Serve this ground pork and noodle dish for dinner with your favorite side dishes.

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Soak the noodles in warm water for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet. Add the pork. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes. Remove to a plate. 
  3. Add the sambal oelek, green onions, garlic and ginger. Cook, stirring, about 2 minutes.
  4. Return the pork to the wok. Add the soy sauce. Stir. 
  5. Add the chicken broth and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add the vermicelli and cook about 2 to 3 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.

This looks delicious I like to get some rice noodles or oat on or eat on noodles and you cook the vegetables first and then add the noodles or you just put this all together I'm going to try this one as well and share maybe something else that can be even more delicious but this looks great
