Recipe Notes

  • You could use any short pasta for this recipe, though it may affect cooking time if pasta is larger.
  • If you can, grate your own fresh cheddar cheese. Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded cheese.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the ground beef, onions and bell pepper. Season with salt and pepper, to taste Cook until beef is browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds more. Drain the fat.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, bay leaf and uncooked macaroni. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until noodles are tender, about 20 minutes.
  3. Top with the cheddar cheese and cook until cheese melts, about 2 minutes. Serve.

No worries, Terry . You don't need to add a last name when you tag someone. When you do the @ tag, it brings up how that person displays their name, and my name is displayed as Elisa Schmitz, 30Seconds. So you did everything right (except you don't need to add my last name). Thanks so much for being part of our community!
