3-Ingredient Parmesan Alfredo Sauce Recipe Is Fast & Fabulous by 30Seconds Food

We think this viral Parmesan Alfredo sauce is so popular because it is so easy and quick to make. And don't forget delicious, on top of pasta!
You could easily add garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, pesto, green peas, mushrooms or cooked chicken into the sauce before serving for dinner.
Cuisine: Italian
Prep Time: 0 minutes
Cook Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Here's how to make it:
- Put the heavy cream and butter into a skillet. Cook over medium heat until butter melts and is thoroughly incorporated into the cream.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
Notes: To make fettuccine Alfredo, cook fettuccine in salted water until al dente. Using a pasta spoon or tongs, transfer the pasta directly from the cooking pot with water into the sauce. This will allow some of the cooking water on the noodles to help thin the sauce a bit. Stir to combine and then add another 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.

This is Alla Panna - not Alfredo. Alfredo has zero cream in it - just the other 2 ingredients and pasta water.
