Valentine's Day Breakfast Recipes for Kids: How to Make Heart-Shaped Hot Dogs & Eggs

Surprise your kids this Valentine's Day (or any day!) with this fun hot dog and egg heart-shaped breakfast recipe. Better yet, let them make it themselves. Smiles are guaranteed. Be sure to remove the toothpicks before serving.

You'll need:

Here's how to make it:

  1. Cut a hot dog in half lengthwise. Gently bend together to create a heart shape. Secure with toothpicks.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the hot dog into the pan.
  3. Gently crack an egg into the center of the hot dog. Cook until it reaches desired doneness. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste. Add crushed red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve.
