'Tis the season for all things cranberry. Brighten up your day with this easy cranberry orange muffin recipe. The orange glaze is optional, but it goes so well with the tart cranberries. These muffins are delicious and super easy to make.

To make these moist muffins you will need flour, baking powder, dash of salt, canola oil, sugar, eggs, milk, orange zest, vanilla extract, orange juice and fresh cranberries. For the optional glaze, you will need powdered sugar and orange juice. This easy, delicious dessert recipe comes together in only about 30 minutes.

Serve these festive muffins for breakfast or as part of a holiday brunch, or keep them on the counter for anytime snacking. They just may become a new holiday favorite!

  • To make these muffins gluten-free, use gluten-free flour. 
  • You don't have to add the glaze, but we highly recommend it.
  • Store the muffins in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

Here's how to make them:

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine the oil, sugar, eggs, milk, orange juice, vanilla and zest. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in the cranberries.
  5. Spray 12 muffin cups with nonstick baking spray or line with muffin liners. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tins.
  6. Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 
  7. To make the glaze, combine the powdered sugar and orange juice. Drizzle over the warm muffins.
